It seams impossible to view more then 6 tabs (Module_MoodyTabs). It's possible to add but no more then 6 tab is shown. Even if the row isn't enough, the logical should be to add row.
I'm using Poenix ver 2.0.630 {16/09/2009} (access)

I tested this on another computer with a higher resolution and there I can see the missing tabs. I can have a wider window. Butt still, if the column is narrow you don't really know what you are missing. The row should break into two, three or what ever the need is.

The max is 4 tabs but you can always added the tabbed mod to it's self so a Tab's panel can have another set of 5 tabs. And so on

Have you tried it. I did and got this error:
Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0115'
Unexpected error
/default.asp
A trappable error (C0000005) occurred in an external object. The script cannot continue running.
And the site went down for a couple minutes before it was back up and running again. Repeated it twice with the same result.

Module_MoodyTabs does not currently support multi instance use, although I will work on this so that we can add the tabs module multiple times in multiple columns,
The tabs module cannot be added to itself currently, the best way to explain why is to imagine the view that you get when you hold one mirror in front of another, the module will fall into and endless loop of trying to add itself inside itself,

Sounds great Ph4nt0m. If I could have a wish that would be to have it configurable in both the nr of columns and rows. If you wont me to test something just throw me a PM.

Perhaps the tabs could be combined with a slider so that an arrow would be displayed if there are more tabs to view.
If you get my drift...

What I'm aiming on is to use Phoenix as a CMS and the user need to get an overview at a glans. So it would be more convenient with x nr of rows. But your solution above should also be a choice.

Were kind of limited to what the tabs will and won't do to an extent, the tabs module is based on UI tabs and I really don't want to add to much custom work to them because it's going to make updating them to current versions a hell of a task every time,
I have managed to get the Tabs module itself multi instance though so we can run multiple instances without them interfering with each other which is a bonus, this should be added with the forthcoming patch set along with a db table installer and quite a few other updates and fixes.

Is the tab creation process smart enough to prevent adding tabs that might go beyond tht 4 (or 5?) tab limit?

Not currently, but I have seen somewhere the latest UI tabs with the sliding method that has been mentioned, I jusat have to find it again and replicate the methods use into Phoenix
