I for one will always be a sooper. have been for many years well sense the alpha 1.4x
some users may have needed something right now and well they needed to move to something else or stay with there raven release.
Once migration starts to happen youll notice how many users still use soop.
and to all of the dev's from the start of the new soop to this point we are at right now. you all have brought us what we asked for, to see the ideas layed out the way they are is awsome.
and with soop 2.0 comes a full independence away from any other software such as wwf that restricts us.
and when the mod devs get to understanding this codebase they will be more than happy to make mods, as the codebase is written well and easy to use.
great job

We might be just a few hard headed souls left but I believe that very soon we will be steadily growing bunch of SOOP users.
Thank you guys for the incredible work that you're doing.

Quote: ph4nt0m RC1.1 will be available in the next few days, were just finalizing the
RC1.1 patch and re-running all the patch update/install scripts to make
sure that there are no errors,
If RC1.1 is as stable as we hope
it will be then I see no reason to hold off any longer on the upgrade
tool, I'm pretty sure that we have now finalized that database structure
so cant see that there will be any more additional tables except maybe
the Calendar events table which is not yet complete, these will be added
once we know the release is stable, Any news?

I may be wrong, but I think the biggest thing preventing a release is this bug. I believe once we isolate that problem and get it fixed, we should be just about ready for an RC2 or an RC1.1 or whatever the managerial folks decide to call it.
The above statement is my personal opinion and is not necessarily the opinion of SoopPortal.org.

The download page says "Last Update Date :
09/18/2009"
Or is that info not updated?

That info is correct Pelican, development has been a little slow for RC1.1 but we are finally there, All install and patch scripts were tested yesterday and we are now making a few tiny alterations ready for public release,
All known bugs that were reported here have been fixed in the release along with a few new features and a very nice Skin (thanks to Krister/Oldtimer and to Hooded for porting the css to run with phoenix)
A new Grid system has been implemented for the mgmt pages based on the very popular and VERY functional jqGrid plugin
The list is pretty huge for the changelog but we are finally there, and should be expecting a release within the next few hours
